A Next Generation DX Club e.V. inspired Adventure in the Indian Ocean

With minimal, perfectly tuned equipment and with the aim of modern, efficient DX operations, DK6SP activated the rare island of Rodrigues under 3B9SP in the summer of 2025. The short DXpedition offered excellent propagation conditions, intense pileups, full QO-100 presence, and impressive nature experiences. This article highlights preparation, operation, and the role of local supporters that contributed significantly to making the activity a special success.

Recently nearly 100 youngsters from 24 worldwide teams from IARU Regions 1, 2 and 3 met in Karlovac, Croatia for the 10th edition of the Youngsters On The Air Summer Camp. It was a wonderful week full of diverse activities concentrated both on practical and theoretical knowledge, but also many fun activities. We explored different cultures and shared the hobby that always brings us closer together. This year we once again dedicated a lot of time to the well established IARU project called “Train-The-Trainer” which teaches youngsters to get more young people interested in amateur radio. On Air during an ERASMUS+ university exchange semester abroad in Nicosia, Cyprus.
I was QRV in my spare time only.
